Works as advertised, the little colour ring is a bit flashy but as long as it works it works

very much like these seat posts. Do a good job for the price. Reduces the impact of a bump on the road and that is what i bought it for. Don't be expecting a gas powered shock like you have on your car but does prevent impact. This is my second one since the first one was for another bike.

Just bought a new bike that had no suspension and given the state of the roads in the UK you can imagine it was a real bone rattler. However once I installed this seat post the ride was so much more comfortable. At around 100kg I'm no lightweight and this seat post really made all the difference. Real value for money.

Beställt med diameter 30,9 mm. Levererad stolpe har diametern 31 mm (stansat i godset) och passar alltså inte. På förpackningens etikett står diameter 30,9 mm.

If you ride a hardtail bike, you'll likely feel every bump you pass over, especially if your tires are higher PSI or skinny.Without getting a full suspension bike, you're left with either deflating your tires (risks from doing that), changing your saddle (won't help take the edge off bumps), or getting a suspension seat post.I've got a fairly advanced suspension seat post on one of my bikes, and it makes a massive difference to ride quality. This Triwonder seat post isn't as advanced, since it uses a single spring and only provides vertical compression (rather than a slight rocking motion). But this one is very easy to install and set up, and the mount to hold your saddle rails can be smoothly adjusted without wildly different angle notches.Adjusting the spring's tension must be done while the seat post is removed. This is common with quite a few suspension seat posts, and you really only need to do this when setting it up (or if you gain/lose a lot of weight). It's a shame that no instructions are provided regarding setup or future maintenance. As with most suspension seat posts, you will want to disassemble and remove the spring, and then clean/grease it. If you find that yours creeks or squeaks, you'll probably want to do this sooner rather than later. How does the ride feel? Well, if you get the tension right, it will help to take the edge off your bumpy rides. The up/down motion isn't as comfortable as some more advanced suspension posts, but it's better than hardtail. There is a caveat that you should be aware of, though.Because your saddle is going up or down, even if not by much, this will change your pedal reach. For some people, this change is pedal reach can cause knee pain.I haven't had this happen while using a suspension post, even after 5000km of riding, but it can be more of an issue on rough terrains where the suspension is being activated more often. Is it worth getting? I think that if you've found your rides to be too bumpy for comfort, it's worth giving this a try. If you find that your ride experience has improved, and at some point you want to upgrade to a more robust suspension post, then you can consider spending the $150-$300+ on a better one.At the time of this review, this suspension post is around $30, which is the cost of some regular seat posts!

Installation is easy, and the materials seem study enough. There is some adjustment but I wish the plastic buffer was in two pieces, so I can adjust the height. This seat will add a minimum of 2" to ANY stem, and for my road bikes, its a bit on the large side, and I am JUST about the right height. With this stem, it makes it too big and a bit dangerous.Attaching the seat is best done off the bike, however do not tighten. Tighten once the stem is on the bike and tightened to be straight. This way, aiming the seat is easier.
