This is a great little tool to have in your fishing tackle box. It folds into itself so it is quite compact.The metal bracket feels like it will last. The plastic spike that sticks in the ground is fairly solid. I would have preferred it to be metal as well but it does the job.If you are a casual, weekend fisher like me, this little support bracket is definitely an upgrade from leaving your pole lying on the edge of the water. It holds the rod in an upright position so you can see when you have a nibble.This thing is durable, portable and simple to use. I think it's great!

This fishing rod design is quite interesting in the way it can be "retracted" and stored. The plastic piece is quite strong and while havent got a chance to use, i am quite confident that it'd hold up well due to the durable build. at 13.99, I would recommend this to fishing buddies on the bank.
