needed it to plug the hole on my new engine oil pan since my car doesn't have the sensor that fit's in it's place. works fine, half the price every where else.

Despite Amazon telling me that it would not fit my 2013 GTI, it absolutely does. VW appears to have done something intelligent and made this a pretty universal fit for most of their cars. Some reputable VW parts sites had this part # as the one I needed, but shipping and costs were higher, so for $10, it was worth it to see if this one would work, and of course, it did. I'm putting on a new oil pan and needed this to work. To double check, I filled the the pan with water to check for any leaks, and there are none. I will probably use some loctite on the bolts that came with the oil pan to ensure they don't back out at all. I'm super happy with the purchase and can now feel confident installing the new oil pan.

Good oil pan cover. However, these should come with 3 nuts not bolts. The oil pan has threaded studs not threaded nuts. So I just had to swap hardware with nuts. Other than that, doesn't leak so serves it's purpose.
