10 pcs bed bolt nuts, slotted also known as cross dowels or nuts. They have 4.5mm thread and are 10mm long, 3mm inner dia, steel, bright zinc plated finish with a screwdriver slot on one end.
These nuts are widely used in the assembly of beds and flat pack furniture, notably that well-known Swedish brand.

If you buy something that is made to a size in a fabric Jeans or a T shirt you can allow a bit of leeway with the fit but a M5 nut should be an M5 nut these were not.

Not threaded M5, instead something imperial, like 10-24.

The one's I received are #10-24 sized threads. Weird that they are marketed as metric but are actually imperial. Quality of actual barrel nut is good. If I didn't have a readily available supply of #10-24 sized screws I would of rated 1 star.Update: Bought 4 more packages with the experience of them being #10-24 threads but received mixed bags of m5 x.8 and 10-24 threads. Also received ones that weren't threaded properly.
