These disposable / compostable bowls are definitely NOT heavy duty. While they are not bad quality, they are quite soft on the sides. The side walls of the bowl can easily be pressed in. But vertically, it is sturdy enough to stay in shape. Because they are made of the biodegradable plant material, they perform very well against liquids. They feel like plastic, but I have to believe that they are made of plant material, and hence compostable. They work well enough for simple duty, but putting in hot liquids like soups into the bowl will be very hot to touch. On some of the bowls, it felt like there was a very fine powdery coating on it. I was able to wash it off, but it did give me the sense that these are clean out of the bag, which to me is a very major issue.

Really a premium quality product! Worth every penny spent. These bowls are sturdy and heavy duty. It holds all food without even bending or leaking a little.Would surely recommend to buy it without hesitation.
