I use this to water my plants every day. I love that you can unscrew the sprinkler head. The color I chose came with a little watering can, so my toddler can help me water plants too.

Honestly, I got these to put some bright pink geraniums in thinking they would look crazy pretty sitting on my outdoor staircase. But ... in the interests of doing a thorough test, I decided to fill them to the brim with water to see how well they do the actual job of being parent/child watering cans--you know, for actual watering of plants? Turns out they do a great job of holding water too. The small can was completely water tight for over 2 hours of sitting full on my tabletop--no leakage at all. The bigger can seemed to be fine, but at the end of the 2 hours, I noticed a small puddle formed on one side directly under the rivet holding the handle. It was only about a tablespoon of water and it took 2 full hours of slow dripping to accumulate so I don't consider it a major issue. Besides, I really would never fill the can all the way to the top under ordinary circumstances anyway and the handle, being attached near the very top would make it a moot point. My bottom line is that these are absolutely adorable as well as totally functional. So ... fill them with water or flowers as you will, they are going to make a cheery addition to the garden either way! I think I am going to buy the pink ones next and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for some mint green and yellow in the future!

Cute idea (parent and child matching watering cans). The blue coating/enamel is all the way around the inside and outside. The bigger can has the screw on spout-end that sprinkles the water and a carry handle that you can raise or lower as needed for storage. The child's sized can is slightly less well-made, no screw on spout, stationary handle (just welded on). Both hold water with no leaks. I got these as I wanted the small one to water my INDOOR plants and starter trays with something that sprinkled. It is working great for that purpose. The bigger can I am using outdoors as I pot up new plants, repot others into bigger pots and need something handy to water them (the hose is away on the other side of the house). This makes it a bit more convenient. The larger can is still smaller than my big, 'normal' sized English watering can. However, that can be a bonus as this one is much lighter when full - and easier on my wrists to use. A cute concept, very useful and practical for others too. Only color choice was pale blue or pale pink. Wish there was a pale yellow or green as well. Nice little cans, they should hold up for quite a while.
