Got this little board along with several other ESP32 relay boards to test. My only complaint is that the screws on the enclosure are very low quality and thus easy to strip the heads on. Otherwise, this is exactly what you want for a relay based control application. I am using it with ESPHome - super easy to program. Yes, the pin-out is only provided here, they don't include one in the box. Bad on them. No other doc either. But the board is well designed, it has a fully header on it for easy access to all the pins, and it has an external wifi antenna (which almost no other boards do, and which make a huge difference in wifi range). I will probably standardize on this board for my micro-control use cases - it is a very decent device for the price.

This is a good extension board for WiFi connection. If you are doing any kind of project and want to add support for Bluetooth or wifi this is helpful. You can also checkout the additional documentation online.

Ok, lets get the bad stuff out of the way. NO SPECIFICATIONS, NO MANUAL! NO INSTRUCTIONS, NO CIRCUIT diagrams, NO Power supply..Ok, the rest is great. DIN rail mountable, well built, terminal strip connectors. There is a wiki for WAVESHARE (just google it), and it has a good set of instructions and example code. Not the cleanest of websites, or that intuitive, but there is LOTS of information. Anyone interested in low level programming, this has what you need. I would have preferred a bit of an API or app, to do at least basic stuff, but this is not for newbies. Overall, very impressive for the cost. I will have a bit of a learning curve with the ESP 32, but I am used to other ucontrollers so, just have to figure it out. Overall, very impressed.

I love Halloween and Christmas. Lately, I've taken my skills to the next level. I started using arduinos and relays to make for a more interactive display. This takes it to the next level with six relays on one device. This is a lot more convenient to kick off multiple events via MQTT events. Now dolls begin singing when you walk by the ring camera...it only activates when it detects a person, not just all actions. A jack-in-the-box pops up when you go through an IR tripwire. This thing is incredible!

This micro controller is versatile, easy to program, and well packaged. I don't think there is a better value for the money for a control device such as this. The manual and example code for the arduino IDE as well as micropython make it dead simple to program for your task. Having 6 relays, rs485, wifi, bluetooh and pi hat support is awesome, especially when this comes in a nice industrial din rail mountable package. I'd buy these instead of getting bare ESP32 controllers and relay boards and then having to figure out how to package the final product.

I used it to control my pool system. Worked great. The only drawback is that it has fewer ADC pins than a regular ESP32 but if you need a handful of relays anyway and or RS485, this is a great solution. External antenna is perfect.
