They are long and have weight. I wanted to know what the brown ones looked like before I bought but since no one responded I bought them anyway. The cording is blacl and the "knobs" are tan.

I LIVE these reins. I had a set for about 10 years and they held together perfectly. I just purchased my second set. They feel good in your hand. No need to ever carry a crop. I’m primarily a trail rider. I’m so glad I found them again!

Very pretty, showy, looks good on a horse, but unless you need very very long reins, they are so long that they get in the way. You could use one of them for lunging a horse. the quality seems quite good and they are a nice addition to a fancy old style vaquero bridle. the reins remind me more of the hackamore mecates.
