I purchased these locks from my wife’s truck and my truck, and a new set of Lugnuts, because the old ones that came on the truck are cheaply made and every time I take them off with the impact To replace brakes, they keep getting worse and worse, so I just replaced them all

Unfortunately I lost the key briefly for it and needed to remove one. I had a lugnut removal tool so I thought it would be no big deal. I hammered on the tool to the outermost shaft and began to try and remove it. What I found out was that it was just a cap that was barely thicker then foil that immediately snapped off. Also if you lose a key it's quite a process to get a new one sent to you.
