The machined aluminum pieces work but the inferior metal used for the ready rod gets stripped just by the force of the nut. As another review said, I will replace the rod and it should work just fine, just cheap metal rod in the middle.

I purchased this tool to do all four bearings on my side by side. It lasted to do only one. The centeral bolt or all thread is not made of heavy enough material and stripped the threads. I replaced the original with grade 8 bolt and nuts-now it works

Works great for taking out old bearings. But not so good for putting them back in.

Bolt stripped out could not press out bearings with it. Went and bought a press instead was done with 4 bearings in 45 mins.

Got the item today and five minutes after using it the bolt stripped out and the nut would not come off and I was only using wrenches on it no air impact at all.
