The gouge is great! Good length and a quality tool. You will have to grind the bevel you want but that's what you would expect. Would definitely buy again so I can have different grinds.

For the price it works well It's not m2 steel so the tool needs to be sharpened often but it cuts well when sharp.

The size mentioned on these tools is the size of the shank, not the flute as we are used to in Europe.I wanted a 13mm gouge and ordered the D3804 Bowl Gouge, 1/2 Inch, but it is what we call here a 10mm (3/8”). The shank is only 1/2".I will then have to order the D3805 Bowl Gouge, 5/8 inch in order to have what we call a 13 mm (1/2”) gouge here.Other than that, the handle is thinner than my other gouges but the HSS steel seems to be good.

I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of this tool for the cost, it holds an edge and the handle is the right size for me. I would buy again.

I’ll give it 4 stars now 1 star when it arrived.Bowl gouge arrived quickly. When it arrived the cutting edge had a big flat spot, had to grind a lot of the tool to get it to cut properly. Works great now that it is fixed.

Great product, feels nice and sturdy in your hands and keeps a decent edge. Cuts nice and smooth and comes with an edge straight out of the box, I found this a fantastic purchase as some one just getting into the hobby.

Wood turning is my hobby and I needed a new 1/2 in bowl gouge and the price was right so I decided to try this one. I seems to be good quality and handles well. Holds good edge and sharpens easily. Great affordable tool on a retired budget.
