Good large size. the grates are a bit bigger than I like, causing the hay to fall out too easily.

So glad I switch from the hay bag to this. So much less waste. My bunny likes to rip out hay and use it as a bed/toilet. So this helps a ton.

With two rabbits, the mess of hay is bound to happen. It’s going to be a bit of a mess no matter what you do. But this feeder has seriously helped contain it!in the 3 years we’ve had our rabbits they’ve chewed through SEVEN fabric hay bags. I finally had enough and found this instead. The functionality is fantastic. It’s easy to hang anywhere you need and we have not had any issues with the stturdiness or durability.
