About this item

  • ⭐[ Professionally Made ]: XRDS-RF as a more than 20 years professional CB radio coax cable manufacturer, this RG58 pl-259 cable is for Ham and CB Radio.
  • ⭐[ Ultra-Low Loss ]: The braid of this pl-259 cb coax cable is high-density tinned copper and 100% shield. The signal loss of this cb coax cable on 450MHZ is only 0.9dB.
  • ⭐[ Durable Solidly Built ]: This UHF to UHF cable uses solid copper conductor instead of cheap copper-clad aluminum. Flexible UV proof rf-pvc jacket, designed for 20-year outdoor exposure in harsh environments. Nickel-plated waterproof pl-259 connectors make a secure connection.
  • ⭐[ Prevent Coming Off ]: In the UHF cb antennas cable we use heave pl-259 mount clamp connector, not the easy came off crimp type, the connector is solid and professionally attached.
  • ⭐[ Lengthen Thickening Adhesive-Lined Heat Shrink Tube ]: The pl259 cable with black heat shrink tube, the length is up to 2.2 in and use adhesive-lined heat shrink to seal the cable to UHF connector after it's assembled, has good sealed end connections.

I used to extend my base antennae so reach the further end of the house. to do that I used a female to female coupler I already had.

This is a decent coaxial cable with PL259 connectors on each end. I bought the 15 ft length. I use this from my radio out the window to my 2m antenna. The PL259's are mid quality, I wouldn't say they are cheap but they seem decent for the price. For ideal permanent outdoor installations it might be better to use N type connectors because they are more weatherproof. But, you get what you pay for and I have no issues. I'm not sure how well this will do after the next winter, but at this price, I won't mind if I need to replace it.The coax itself is 50ohms which is what you need for radio! This is not a data or TV cable - those are 75ohms. At these short lengths there won't much loss. I wouldn't use this coax for long runs above 50 ft. In general, this will be fine for VHF/UHF work but I'd do more research with HF at any significant length.

It works fine but has the cheaper PL 259's. Wouldn't run a ton of power through it but good enough for simple installations.

Title really says it all, its 50' of RG58. Works fine with a UHF/VFH antenna up on an old satellite pole. Seems pretty durable, it's run through the rubber weather seal under a door, where it gets shut on and is seeing a fair bit of abuse. The outer sheathing hasn't shown any signs of wear yet.
