Using this to hold the hood and trunk open just enough to wrap the edges for a clear vinyl / clear bra install. It a bit expensive for a one time use, vs rope or twine, or a coat hanger. But if you use it for multiple vehicles it's handy. If I didn't have this I would just bend a coat hanger.

Simple design that is straight forward and easy to use that works well.Materials feel like they're nice quality and it has supported some pretty heavy hoods with no problem.Gets the hood up just enough to allow for working material under the front lip.Great for vinyl install, detailers, painters, etc..

The ease of extension is not quite long enough but is ok. The hook design doesn’t quite hold tight enough inside a latch when block sanding on a panel. Awkward to set up. Will go another route eventually.
