Great way to increase POE lines for security cameras. Has been going strong for a few months now. No issues.

Works well.It needs to be plugged into an active PoE device like a PoE network switch; it will not work with non-802.3af/at power injectors (didn't work on 48/50vdc Ubiquiti, Mikrotik or a couple others). This device gets detected as Class /Type 4 device, so should support 30w without issue.###########I needed to enable "third party poe" device support for higher wattage, 15w worked fine, but as soon as I plugged another device in, it started losing and rebooting power. Issue was my PoE (PSE) switch thought it was a faulty device and kept disconnecting power, once i enables high power and 'power inline 2x-mode' it started working. There is no dhcp-client on this switch, just a passive/dumb switch.

This is a review for the YuanLey Outdoor Gigabit PoE Extender 1 in 4 Out, 802.3af/at/bt 5 Port PoE Repeater IP66 Waterproof, Vlan, Extend Additional 100m(328ft) of Power and Data Transmission, Wall Mount Plug and Play, purchased July 2024.Not recommended: The YuanLey extender worked for two weeks and then suddenly began disrupting the signals on the network causing intermittent security camera footage for a few of the cameras. The only fix was to remove the extender and do a complete shutdown of all devices on the network (nvrs, cameras, poe injectors, and switches). I went back to using my 24 Watt. Here are the details of the issue as this may be helpful:I purchased the YuanLey extender because it was capable of higher wattage output compared to my current extenders. I have been using Sodola POE Extenders [SODOLA PoE Extender 4 Port, IEEE 802.3 af/at PoE Repeater, 100Mbps, 1 PoE in 3 PoE Out] for the past year, and they work really well. However, the SODOLA extender one has 3 out ports with a combined output of 24 Watts (input of 30 Watts).I added a new security camera to my setup and therefore needed an extender which could support at least 48 watts. The YuanLey 5 port extender contained one output of 60 Watts and 3 outputs of a combined wattage of 24 watts. I connected the YuanLey extender to a 95 Watt POE injector (TrendNet), and plugged one ptz camera into the 60 watt port, and two cameras into two of the other ports. I left the YuanLey extender VLAN switch to NO.After two weeks, some of the cameras on the network started to show jerky footage on the live view of the camera, and some would show a black screen for a few moments (ie loss of signal). The NVR had begun to only record intermittently. One of the cameras which was experiencing an intermittent signal was attached to the YuanLey extender, the other cameras were connected to different ethernet cables and to the existing SODOLA extenders. And not all cameras on the network were impacted. The issue appeared to be the signal rather than power. The only connection between the problem cameras was that they were connected to the same unmanaged switch.I tried a few toubleshooting steps:Rebooted the system (nvr, poe injectors, switches), checked the power, turned the YuanLey extender VLAN to ON, and replaced the connected unmanaged switch. However, those steps did not work. And I had no idea what was causing the intermittent signal. My system had been working perfectly for a year, and the last update I made to it was to add the YuanLey extender. I removed the latter and replaced it with the SODOLA (minus the new camera). However, the signal was still intermittent.I then did another complete shutdown of my network for one minute, and then booted up again.Following this, the intermittent signal was gone and all the cameras have been working fine ever since.I still don't know why the YuanLey extender started to interfere with the network. But immediately prior to the start of the intermittent signal, the nvr showed a gap in recording, for all cameras, of about 30 seconds. I am not sure if this means that the power went out or if the signal was lost. Following this initial loss of signal, the continued intermittent signal began and lasted until I removed the YuanLey extender and rebooted the system.I suspect it had something to do with the VLAN switch on the YuanLey extender. One reviewer said that the VLAN switch was always on, even when turned to off....Luckily, the item failed within the 30 day return window, so I returned it, and am still looking for a similar item that actually works. Hopes this helps someone....as this issue wasted a lot of time....:)

I've purchased a couple of these (or similar) in recent years, and will likely be buying another soon. They will easily run 4 4K cameras over one wire.Had a couple of buried ethernet cables that lost use of one of their twisted pairs. Using only two of the good twisted pairs, was able to recover use of those cables without having to dig up and bury new ones. This switch will work with just two twisted pairs, though only at 100M, which is still good for 4 4K cameras.

What a convenient, easy way to add another camera or two without having to pull new wires. Also works great as a POE powered switch to connect non-POE devices. I have run 3 POE cameras without issue (~3W per camera).Just watch your total consumption does not exceed the capacity of the input POE when running POE devices, and remember - security cameras with infra red LEDs use much more current when those are on so make sure to check power consumption with them on.

Works as expected, powers on my Unifi camera without issues. As you can see I'm keeping it in the garage and so far had no issues with cold temperatures.Funny enough my proper Unifi outdoor POE died after 1 year, hopefully this no name lasts longer. Will update if it doesn't survive.

I had not realized my old Ubiquiti were using 24V and this was not working. But as soon as I fed it with a proper PoE providing 48V, it came to life and just works so well.Simple and efficient solution, not sure why these are not wide spread. So useful.
