They are made from 100% natural clay which are mined, formed into pellets, then kiln fired at high temperatures.
They used very smooth terracotta like clay, no fading.not easy to break.
Our 8-14mm expanded clay pebbles are perfect for medium to large Cattleyas and Laelias. Please wash them before use.
These clay pebbles are nice for anchoring plants in net pots, starting the new plants, succulents, orchids, cactus bonsai DIY pebbles, terrarium, fairy gardening, top dressing, etc.
The Leca can be mixed with other organic plants soil for orchid,succulent,indoor gardening system,aquarium substrate.

Good product, you get a nice big bag for a decent price. I've used these in mason jars with water and have kept my spring onions alive for over 2 months. They would have done well if I would have changed the water more often and gave them some nutrients. But I was really happy with the Leca pebbles as it was my first time using them. I've rinsed them off and have been able to reuse them.

I purchased this to use as the medium for my orchid. Unfortunately my orchid did not like this. It slowly deteriorated after i repotted it in this medium. However, since i had so much leftover i started to use it as "gravel" on my other house plants to deter fungus gnats. It actually works amazingly well for that since it hinders the space needed for them to hatch. I water and then spray the clay balls with neem oil. Looks great and has a function, not my intended purchase function but at least it won't go to waste.
