The soil is good and I like how light it is. I can see that the water goes through easily and it stays moist longer than my other soil.However, it is infected with aphids. I used it for one plant only so far (indoor, in a new apartment, in winter so all windows are closed) and the plant is the only one being infected. Not great news.

You would expect to pay 12 to 20 dollars in any home hardware store and this was 5 dollars plus 2 dollars shipping and amazon payed some taxes. I am testing clover with radioactive sources. It needs good nitrogen soil like that in tomatoes and pepper soil.Neat.

I bought this PRO-MIX® Organic Vegetable and Herb Potting Mix Soil to grow some veggies and herbs in containers on my balcony. I was impressed by the quality and quantity of the soil, which came in a 9L bag that was easy to handle and store. The soil was rich, dark and moist, with a pleasant earthy smell. It contained active ingredients such as Canadian sphagnum peat moss, peat humus, perlite, limestone and coir, as well as a controlled release plant food that feeds the plants for up to 3 months.I planted some tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, basil, parsley and oregano in different pots using this soil. The plants grew very well, with healthy roots, stems and leaves. They also produced abundant fruits and flowers, with great flavor and aroma. I watered them regularly, but not too often, as the soil retained moisture well thanks to the coir. I also noticed that the plants were more resistant to pests and diseases, which I attributed to the MYCOACTIVE® technology that promotes vigorous growth and stronger roots.I would highly recommend this product to anyone who wants to grow their own veggies and herbs in containers. It is a high-quality, organic and convenient potting mix that delivers great results. I will definitely buy it again for my next gardening project.

Bought this for $7.99 on Amazon but noticed the price has almost tripled now. Don’t buy here if it’s that rip off price. I’ve noticed this with other items lately so always compare people!Just for comparison the 5kg bag cost $15.75 here, which makes no sense for a 1.4 kg bag to be $18.95With that said I really love this mix and am happy with it.I live in a condo so my plants are indoors. So far I am using it for my plants: jalapeño, cayenne, avocado, mango and date plant. I plan to plant some sprouted onions and rosemary soon.I also plan on buying some worm castings (poop) to add some natural fertilizer for some umph! LolPROBLEM SOLVING:Also when I first bought my bag I noticed gnats after a little while so I put some diatomaceous earths in the soil and since then no issues.
