The key works perfectly fine unlocking and cranking the vehicle but as soon as you try to insert the key and crank it, it sets the car alarm off for some reason??? Other than that everything else is fine

I have a 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan and lately the lock and unlock buttons don't have that "click" to them and sometimes it takes many presses to get it to actually register. Based on a video I saw it suggested to get something like this. I took the rubber gasket from this and replaced it into the original key. Looking at the rest of this product it looks like it would have worked as well. Now the key presses have that satisfying click I don't remember when I last felt it.
