I was shocked at how easy this was to replace. Works like a brand new key.

Great product, buttons and case are very nice quality for the price. Feels very durable. The key function works just as good or better in my opinion. Didn't need to go through the hassle of programming as it was just an internal part swap. Two thumbs up.

This product is extremely frustrating, it's almost like the company made everything slightly off on purpose as a cruel joke! I don't know if this is the case for all car models or just mine in particular.I was expecting to simply take the circuit board, battery, and cut key out of my old case and put them in the new case and we'd be good to go, 10 minute job since I already was familiar with the inner workings. HOWEVER, the new button does not fit my cut key. There are three little metal nubs that have to line up a certain way for the button to stick out all the way and function properly. The nubs on the new button are misaligned so they do not fit properly (see top right nub in picture). If you try to assemble the key this way, it won't lock in the open or closed position. Same problem if you try to use the old button. Some people have then resorted to punching out the little pin that attaches the straight part of the key to the other part. They knock out both and replace the blank straight with the cut straight. HOWEVER, the hole is misaligned once again so they have to file the hole (with a tiny metal file I'm assuming, which most people including myself don't have) so that the straight cut key can fit in the new key. Then it works apparently. If the button would have fit the cut key, this would have easily been a 5 star review. Install would have been easy, the price is reasonable, the case itself feels sturdy, and the flip function works well (with the blank key). Since the button doesn't fit the cut key, this goes from being an easy DYI to an annoying job only for those who are handy and have the right tools.I am going to call around and see how much it costs just to get the key cut to match my original key. If the cost is under $20 then ok I can live with that, ~$40 total for a revived key and I might even bump the review up to 2 stars (but no more!). If the cost is higher then I'll most likely be returning these cases and going back to the drawing board, or continue using my one key that still has all the buttons but doesn't lock open or closed.
