This key is of poor quality. It broke the first time I tried to unlock the car after having the key cut. Luckily the locksmith replaced it free of charge.

Put new electronic clicker(with original honda chip) into new case and screw it shut.e. Use new key like always…!Does not have HONDA logo($250 at dealership), 2 new keys for less than 1/4th of dealership price- TOTALLY WORTH IT.Product quality is sturdy, seems well made.

Worked perfectly. Had the keys cut at the local hardware store for 10 bucks. Installed the fob internal chip from the original keys and everything fit great.

This worked great! Had taken my keys to Honda dealership to have batteries replaced in the fob, because I didn't know if that would require reprogramming. Well they couldn't remove the screw from the fob so they had to drill it out and try using a larger screw. Charged me $25 to do that. Within days the key fob kept popping apart when I would start the van because the new screw wasn't holding it together. Eventually the part securing the key couldn't handle the torque and broke off. I was so glad to find this affordable replacement. I got the new key cut by a locksmith for $15 and moved the old remote into the new case. Works like a charm for a fraction of what it would have cost me to get a new one from the dealer.

Not every hardware store has the proper equipment to cut this key. Some that have the equipment will not cut it since you didn't buy it there. I moved the battery and electronic parts to the new shell and took it to a locksmith who cut the key for $20. Probably could have taken the old and new keys to the locksmith and they would have made the electronics switch without any extra cost. Saved over $150.
