Holds up my tomatoes on supporting trellis. You do need to remove when stalks get too large for them.

Clip quality is pretty bad, came out to my garden to see one of my tomato plants had snapped due to clip failure where it bends, broke apart in 2 pieces. Won’t be buying again.

The clips are smooth at the hinge and will not grab onto any string that I tried with it. The clip and tomatoes just slide down.

Just learned how they work from a video online. The plants are supported on a vertical length of string. The hinge on these clips actually squeezes into the string holding the clip in place, while the stem is held by the clip. Quite ingenious.

These are the best little gadgets for your plants You can just clip the vines maybe to the plant or to a stake and it holds it up so you don't have stragglers laying around. These are awesome I can't tell you how much I love these things These are well worth your money.

As the plants grow, the weight of the vines easily support themselves, but then as the produce begins to grow and mature, this can put incredible weight onto the plant, being capable of weighting the plant to the ground. I am using both tomato cages, as well as a string system this year, and using these clips on both systems. These clips work especially well with the strings, as the back of the clips initially clamp onto the string, holding the clamp in place, then I encase the plant vine snapping the clip together. This is the first season that I have used these clips, and am thinking that I might even be able to use some of the clips for a 2nd season next year depending upon how they hold up. Either way, they are not that costly and definitely are making my gardening experience an easier adventure!

These work just fine. Easy to put on, hold both the string and the plant stem securely.

Product: DOMG Garden String Trellis Clips (300 ct)Rating: 5/5Ive been home growing tomatos in containers for many years, but i'd always just let them bush out as they pleased, and added supporting stakes and twine as needed, to prevent limb breakage and plant knockdown. This year, I decided to give single mainstem string trellising a whirl (3rd pic), and integral with that is a need for lots and lots and lots of reusable plastic o-clips that can clip securely to twine and clip around the plant you're training to it (I did 2 rows of 7 pails each). This particilar brand of clips seem to be both a good value, and good quality (fewer injection mold defects than other brands). As of this writing, ive bought 1,200 of them (4 boxes of 300ct) and im happy with them.Ive also discovered they're quite versatile, and have other uses besides string trellising.Examples:> I was able to use these clips to secure my green vinyl poultry netting to some U-posts to create a vine trellis for my bitter melon plants and snap peas (see pic).> I also developed a way of using short stacks of 2 or 3 O-clips, and a bamboo skewer, to create a self supporting grow guide for plants like shuidong mustard or tatsoi (see pic) - the clips help confine and support all the lower tier stalks and keep them angled upwards, creating a more space efficient footprint for use in grow racks ... without it, the bottom tier stalks tends to grow outwards, and often shear off.I only have one minor nit with these, which is that the inner shoulders of these clips are a tad sharp, and can sometimes dig into the branch/stem it holds. I wish those edges were a bit more rounded, to help prevent that.Bottom line: highly recommended.

So far so good. Quick delivery - Everything looks good inside the box. Have to begin planting and will review once the clips have been used.

I've been getting tomato trellis clips from a large seed seller in Maine. Ran out of clips. It seemed my usual source would not provide more as quickly as I needed so I ordered these from Amazon. On the whole, I'm satisfied. The two pics show one from each source, with the Amazon clip on top. Quite similar in size and style. These clips grasped the trellis string well enough. The difference was the latch, which is lighter weight on the Amazon clips. In the first two dozen clips I used, one of the latches simply broke. There were plenty more of course so I just moved on. With the clips from my source in Maine, there had been no latch breaks at all.So far they seem to be holding the vines equally well.Amazon asked three questions about specific features:1. Sturdiness: 4 stars. In the first two dozen I used, one of the little latching clips failed. With other tomato trellis clips I've used, there were zero failures of the latching clips.2. Easy to use: 5 stars. Perfectly easy! Just make sure the trellis string is inside the hinge of the clip so the hinge bites on the string. It's obvious if you missed, and easy to try again.3. Versatility: What? They have one purpose! Unless you want to get artsy and make earrings and necklaces, and lampshades with popsicle sticks, there is nothing versatile about them. Well, I suppose, cucumbers? I ignored this very strange question.I hope that's helpful. Enjoy peace in your garden. Be well.

They work fantastic. I have used them two seasons now and some of them are breaking this year, so this order was to top off the supply that has broken this year. Overall I love them though.
