These rod holders are sturdy, easy to install with supplied screws or nuts and bolts and far cheaper than most, obviously good value for your dollar.

I attached these to a hardwood bookcase in my kid's room so he has a place to put his fishing rods where they don't get all tangled up or damaged. They fit perfectly! They did come with both long screws and long bolts, but I didn't use them because they were too long for the bookcase. It was a little tricky to find an extender for the drill so that I could reach the spot where the screws needed to be drilled, but I wouldn't say that you need to be extraordinarily handy in order to install there

Decided to put the holders inside the milk basket and it looks great so far. Didn't use any of the screws as they would have been too long for this. Ty-Raps worked perfectly (used 13.4" ones). If I don't like this set up, I can cut them and change it up. Didn't bring this on a boat yet.

These rod holders are well designed, sturdy and a good price point. They work best with spinning rods/reels and can be mounted horizontally or vertically pending on how you want to use them. Using mine for extra rods and net on my boat. Work well and good purchase.
