Scotty’s #282 Baitcaster/Spinning Rod holder is a versatile rod holder for any angler. The baitcaster reel sits in a cushioned cradle while a front slot allows for a spinning reel. The open bottom allows for the rod holder to accommodate trigger grips as well. Rods can be secured with a soft latching strap which snaps over the top for baitcaster or under the bottom for spinning reels. The 438 Gear-Head Track Adapter quickly slides into place and locks down Scotty rod holders and accessories, this allows you to quickly change rod holder positions with a simple twist. The Scotty 440-4 Low Profile Track is made from high strength composite material. The track can be quickly and easily installed on a kayak, canoe or any other watercraft. Dimensions: 1-3/4” W x 3/8” H x 7” L (4” usable track).

Great to have to keep the cockpit of my kayak clear. I am going to add a safety line to it as I turned it the wrong way and it dropped into the lake. Luckily, I was close to shore and was able to retrieve it. That was my fault and not the equipment.

This "Scotty" brand rod holder is very secure, sturdy and lightweight. It when used in conjunction with the "Scotty" mounts offers a very practical method of fitting rod holders to virtually and position on your boat. I would highly recommend this product to anybody considering fitting rod holders to a fishing kayak.

installed it no problem, really like that it all comes apart so that the rod holder doesn't have to be permanently attached when just out kayaking. a big fan of the rail system

A little disappointed with the packaging. Does not even have a bubble wraps to it. Also the item brand was missing on the product itself. Makes it look like a copy product.

Excellent quality and design. This model is perfect for my kayak. The only gripe is that one of the tabs that lock down the holder was bent out slightly, which I fixed by heating and bending inward to its normal position.

Habe mich für diesen Artikel entschieden weil es trotz Versand immer noch günstiger war als die Teile einzeln zu bestellen. Die Lieferzeit war vollkommen okay. Bekannte Scotty Qualität. Würde hier wieder kaufen.

I actually needed it to hold a landing net, the end of the handle on the new net was bigger then my old one and needed something else to hold it, so I got this, all Scotty stuff is good quality can't go wrong with Scotty.

When you're out on the water in a kayak, the last thing you want to worry about are the fishing rods. Having this holder is great when you want an extra spot to hold some spare rods. It has infinitely adjustable angles so if you want to troll with it while you paddle, that works as well. Great materials, quick disconnect, everything just works.
