Bought four of these boards to create a LoRa private mesh network for my neighborhood. Found out first off the antennas that come with aren't so great. Bought other antennas. Flashing these boards with firmware was a breeze. Took me a little bit to figure out how to configure. Powered them with a 3.7v 2000mah lipo battery pack. Everything works great. Then I discovered these boards have a problem reading the charge level of the battery. Even though the battry was fully, charged at 4.1v, the board was reporting on the display about 3.2v. Actually the reading was all over the place, but after some time it sort of settled on 3.2v. Problem is these will shut down when the voltage drops below 3.1v. So that dodsn't give much time before the board shutsdown. Supposedly there' a work around with an overrude setting. Haven't figured that out yet. Shouldn't have to do that.

I connected the antenna, powered up and loaded Meshtastic. Using the latest build (Alpha) seemed to work the best. They work great so far! I will eventually build up two solar powered repeaters. Reliability and battery charging seems to work perfect. This is a great way to get started in Meshtastic for a small price. Since you get two, you can learn Meshtastic a lot faster with two nodes that can communicate. Make sure the is antenna connected before powering up so you don't damage the module.
