Been fighting sealing issues with cork gaskets, this rubber gasket kit fit perfectly and I have had no leaks.

Filter is slightly different than what I had in before, but looking online its a legit version. Installed easy, build quality seemed good. I actually had to remove it as I needed to troubleshoot the transmission after the fact. Came off and went back on perfect.

Filter seems to be a quality item but throw away the gasket supplied and purchase a good one.Would not trust this gasket on my built TH400. Already had one like this blow out- don't need that mess again. Item is not as pictured- you can't see the filter media any longer- only in the pickup tube hole. Should update image to reflect that.

AC Delco box that was shipped to me was obviously previously opened and there was no gasket inside box, only filter and o-ring. AC Delco would be advised to open returned boxes and check contents before shipping out to another customer. Now the hassle of returning and getting a replacement. Also, there is no foam filler in filter as shown in pictures.

The product came open in it's original box, no tape on ends and everything hanging out and shipped from Las Vegas Amazon warehouse....must have in a rush!!! Any way nothing was lost even the oring was present...most important part due to an inherent hydraulic whining issue during cold startup. Generally due to leak down while sitting and scavenging of the pump; quiets down within 15 seconds. Presently, I am taking out recently installed aftermarket filter due to this new whine since not present before installation. The AC DELCO filter, being better in design than aftermarket replacements , apparently allows instant flow while standing off fluid from draining out of pump. Looking through the intake on the DELCO filter it appears to be missing filter mesh yet, only speculating, this must be their way of increasing flow. Looking deep down in I do see the mesh. What a mesh to have to do this job again. I had included in my high mileage Turbo 400 type 2 on my motor home a bottle of LUCAS additive to increase the coefficient of friction and other things (read bottle or Amazon site)...Tomorrow I will perform the task to quiet my baby down as it can only cause damage to the pump ; eventually. 40 years as a highly diverse mechanic; there' s a first time for everything. Pete, Doc of Motors 'Perfect Circle' Next Day, after installation of this filter: Problem solved end of whine. Use only origin manufacturer replacement parts, if available.
