It is the perfect size for my crab's tank. The only problem I have is the sucker thing doesn't stay holding it. So, I just put it on the bottom of the tank. It does take a little while to warm up. I guess due to the room temp also, so I didn't think it was working, but it is working great now.

I was hesitant based on the reviews but decided to get it anyways as I love the flat design. I have a 5 gal tank and this little heater raised the water temp from 71F to 78F, which is exactly what I needed. I do have the heater placed near my filter so it gets good water flow around it, not sure if that matters or not.It is a heater that is on all the time, so you will need to monitor the tank temp so it doesn't get too cold/hot.

Perfect for my betta. I would say this more or less maintains the temperature. I have a 5 gallon tank, it raised the temp 4 degrees (from 73 to 77) and now it basically just maintaining that temp, but it isn't going up any more (which is perfect for me). No temperature control, no shutoff. Bare minimum but great for the price and works.

It does a great job...of getting the temp to 80 degrees, in my environment. I placed it in a 20 qt. clear tote I bought at Walmart, filled with treated water, next morning 80 degrees. I keep my a/c at 77 degrees( here in south Texas that's cool), and the ambient temp of that tote full of water at room temp was 72 degrees, for three days until I added the heater and it went to 80. That's 2 degrees hotter than I keep my tanks so these heaters are useless to me, but they're in perfect order so I'll eat the loss and maybe try to sell them. Other than that they are great little heaters if you need the water at 80 degrees.

I liked the form factor - thin and flat, but was disappointed in that it does not have or maintain a preset temperature. My bad for not reading the product description. Comes in sealed hard plastic that must be cut to open, so i didn't return it. Rather kept is as an emergency backup.

The water temperature improved a lot my fish wellbeing. I can tell. It is started building bubble nest the day after I installed. For those who don't know, that's a sign of a healthy and happy Betta.

Works good to keep the tank in the range for our fish. It doesn't seem to be over heating the water so is good for what we need.

I have a Fluval Edge, they are 6 gallons, and this heater didn’t work from day one.Give this one a miss.

I found the heater is pretty big for any tank smaller than 10g. Other than that, it works well. I use it for my 6g tank and it keeps the temp around 27-29C, which is quite high. I might only use it at night or in the winter.

I didn't have a problem with their smaller heater (for a 3 gallon tank) got the bigger one for my 10 gal. Didn't work! It seems to be warm... Just can't keep my tank warm. I put the smaller heater in and my temp is already climbing...
