The Baroque string action gauge is a pocket-size metallic ruler that is used to measure various guitar and string settings for optimum setup and play-ability. I was hoping this would have white markings to better legibility than the paint being etched away to metal. Depending on how light hits the tool, it can be hard to read.Feature-wise, it packs a punch and has a fret height measurement that other string gauge rulers don't have. In general, I think it's a good, utility tool, but I have to take stars off for the most crucial feature....legibility. YMMV

The 'ruler' is of good quality and the case fits nicely. As to whether it is accurate I have no idea. The point is I now have a point of reference that is always repeatable. If you do your own setups it's a no-brainer to own.
