My daughter plays college softball. As a result of a nagging UCL injury, it’s been necessary for her to wear a protective shield inside her catcher’s glove in order to protect her thumb and the heel of her hand.Most recently, she’s been using an EvoShield thumb guard, which has done a good job of protecting her hand, but due to its bulkiness, squeezing her glove has been difficult at times.She is extremely happy with her new thumb guard by Endoskel. She feels her hand is better protected than with other devices she’s used, and she enjoys the convenience of having the shield built into her glove (no putting it on and off, no fear of misplacing it). The icing on the cake is that she can once again squeeze her glove completely, every pitch. Not a single dropped ball in the dozen or so games played since she’s been using it.She’s so happy with this device that we would’ve given it five stars, if not for the price. We’re accustomed to paying a premium for softball equipment here in Canada, but when the same device is available for less than $30 USD on Amazon.com, I do feel that the price on Amazon.ca is rather steep.
