I recenfly a 2004 Ram 3500 pickup and one of the first things I knew I had to do was replace the worn out Rancho steering stabilizer with a Bilstein. I used my 1/2 impact and an adjustable wrench to get the old and rusted one off and I put the new one on with no issues. Don’t forget to put some anti seize on the new threads to make it even easier the next time you have to do a replacement. It’s a super easy job to do and it can be done in your driveway with no lifts in under 20 minutes, especially if you have an impact and a wrench. Since the truck is a Dodge, and 20 years old, it has some looseness in the steering, but this stabilizer made an immediate and noticeable difference. For the price of this, it’s well worth it and the silver appearance looks great under the truck.

This was a return but never used, the price resold was actually "good". Worth buying for the price. The world would be a better place if people sold at a reasonable price. Its a great feeling when you can find something you need in the returns bin. I now take the time to review the discount bin regularly.

Purchased this product because my dual rough country stabilizer was rubbing up against my aftermarket diff. After my product arrived I removed the rough country stabilizers that were shot anyways after only 30k on them..but that's another story of poor quality.Anyways this stabilizer did a better job then my dual stabilizers and doesn't make my steering pump squeel.I can see why this company's rep is so good. I will be replacing my struts next with bilstein.Product delivery was a day early as well.

Excellent steering shock, put it on an 06 ram 3500. Big difference in handling, holds the road way better. Quite impressed.

FunctionalityGood. Replaced my stock steering dampener that was pretty worn after 100k. Tightened response up, and my tires don't wander after hitting bumps in the road. Does exactly what it's suppose to do. I feel no need to install a duel dampener setup, even with my 35" tires. I should also note that I installed this on my 2001 Dodge Ram 2500 4WD. Even though Bilstein's part charts don't show they make one for my model, this part number cross referred via OEM to reveal it should fit, and it does.LooksCosmetically, it's ok. I like the stainless steel case, but the rubber dust cover they use for the 5100's doesn't really work well in the application of steering dampeners. It always folds one direction or the other rather than collapsing like an accordion. It just looks kind of funny.I have Bilstein 5100's for my shocks as well, and I've been happy with every Bilstein product I've owned. It's a significant improvement over stock, even for heavy duty applications.
