Ours doesn't seem to stay together once the weight of the cello is lifted from it. It is often in pieces on the floor

Small footprint and stable

This was delivered in a plastic bag and consists of 4 interlocking wood pieces. It takes less than a minute to assemble but is sturdy enough. At first glance, it seemed too small to hold a larger guitar but my Guild D25 dreadnought fits without issues. This is great in limited space or in a corner. Its footprint is tiny compared to most other stands and it holds the guitar fairly upright so it can be tucked up against the wall. It has rubber-like padding on the bottom and back surfaces to protect the finish. One nice design feature is that there is no bracing that goes up the front of the lower bout, eliminating any possible stress points on the soundboard. As for stability, it would take effort to tip it over if placed properly. However, I would not recommend this be used in a high traffic area where it can be bumped into, nor would I use it on stage as there is very little holding the guitar up. Otherwise, it's great for showcasing the instrument and having it at the ready while taking up minimal space.

The stain had some minor issues. The tabs and holes were cut to fit orthogonally, but cross pieces are different widths, so they fit very tightly, and don't sit flat on a hard surface. I thought maybe there was an orientation that would make them fit better, so I tried swapping them and rotating them, but no dice.Otherwise, it gets the job done. I got the little ukulele-sized one. The rubber bits on the top edge of the two legs keep my uke from slipping or getting scratched.
