Love this little tool, I use it to polish my handmade copper wire woven jewelry.

the tool rotary shaft totally lost all alignment after 3 months of use. You can see the collet wobbling off axis. totally unusable. also, the battery life is terrible and you don't have the option to use the tool whilst connected to power. ALSO, the collet CONSTANTLY comes untightened which means you are stopping your workflow every couple of minutes to tighten up the collet again.save your money. buy the established name brand and a flex shaft if you want the ease of using a slim line device.

Disliked the fact that it was very short life.Dislike the fact that I have to be digging into this, it’s not normal practice.

Don't force it; it's just a 3.7V. BUT! for small details it's convenient. There's no key to tighten it and the collet nut doesn't have flat faces to use one. A minus? Not exactly! While it's true that I once saw a bit slowly coming out of the collet while in use, using anti-seize solves that problem. Let me explain how : I saw a video from John Cadogan (Auto expert) who explained in a detailed video that using anti-seize means having to "knock torque 30% down on all bolted joint where there's a torque spec". All right, no torque spec to speak of, here, but what does that mean? It means that using anti-seize makes it easier to screw nuts, so much so that without diminishing the torque by 30%, you will overtighten. In other words, with anti-seize, just your fingers are enough to tighten the a nut that's abit loose when dry. That, and don't pull while using the tool.TLDR. Useful and convenient. Nut is hard to screw with only your fingers, but using anti-seize makes it easier to tighten just the right amount.

I like the rechargeable idea, so there's no wasted batteries.. good for light polishing or touching up scuffs on crafts.. does absolutely nothing on wood. The little sandpaper sleeves are too big for any of the bits, so they fly of as soon as you turn it on.I don't like the power button, I press for level 1 then 2 presses for level 2 and 3 presses for level 3 and then 4 presses to turn it off.. which means if you need to shut it off for some reason. You have to cycle through the power levels to make it stop.. not a good feature in an emergency

This little tool works great for small grinding and polishing tasks. I use it for cleaning up 3D prints and resin castings. I appreciate that it uses standard 1/8" collets, since that makes it easy to find bits to use in it. If you're expecting the power of a full-sized rotary tool - don't. That's not what this is and that's not what this is for. You won't be using this to drill holes in 1/2 inch plywood like some people seem to expect. Think of this as a small detailing tool. It's small, light weight, quiet, and easy to control. It's much better for fine work than the usual big, bulky units.

I have owed likely a dozen rotary tools over the years. Huge honking’ things with tons of torque and top speeds of 20,000 rpm. I’ve cut, polished, ground, sanded, sharpened, and drilled just about everything with theses tools, from home fix it projects to building race cars. But they are all WAY too big and clumsy for hobby and model work.We bought this little tool specifically hoping for a smaller, hobby, crafts type rotary tool and that’s what we got! The product pics are misleading, showing it to be bigger than it is. We’re happy to find it’s smaller than expected. Want a full size rotary tool? This isn’t it. Want something useful for wood carving, modelling and little projects? This seems the ticket. The bits are numerous but cheap. But so are all accessories for rotary tools except the top brands. They’re consumable items, don’t fret it. Buy another kit full of accessories and lots of spares. Note, the collet DOES accept standard dremel bits.Another nice thing about this unit is that it has a very low “low” speed, making working plastics easy without melting or burning.Battery life (both between charges and till battery won’t hold a charge) is unknown to us yet, but the tool seems easy to open, so replacing that battery doesn’t appear daunting (but we’re also electronic geeks too). 😁As I write this, my wife is happily sanding a wee craft project at the dining room table, loving this new tool. Highly recommended.RKPRODUCT REVIEW UPDATE: Jan '24. This unit continues to impress us; the battery is still taking and holding a charge and the bearings sound and feel fine (and I've worn out my share (and likely your share too) of bearings in my time.) The collet is still positively holding bits. Again - this is a lightweight tool - people leaving negative reviews about its power likely have the wrong expectation of this little guy. It is NOT for heavy torque applications! But it's longevity seems assured. STILL RECOMMENDED.

It’s good for crafts and hobbies, it can handle plastics and light woods. Battery means it won’t last long, packing a 16340 3.7v 600mah battery, the only bonus being it doesn’t take forever to charge. It’s not that it’s bad, it’s good for crafts and lighter hobbies. It won’t do much to metal, polish sure, sand, maybe engrave. Heavy woods the same as metal, and don’t expect it to last long under heavy load. The battery CAN be swapped tho, it’s not soldered down, using a two pin header much like the old cordless phones. You “could” mod it to use 18650, but you’d have to remake or cut the housing, or mount the battery on the end making it really long.
