Have now purchased four of these devices. Only glitch I had was an apparent issue getting one device to work with a TP Link wifi router - presume that there is some fundamental incompatibility between the two competing vendors. (I did not contact DLink tech support but their online resources did not help in this case. Given that the device worked without issue with other wifi routers, however, am presuming the core of the issue was on the TP Link end.)Otherwise I did get these devices connected to Hitron routers and Meraki access points without any issue whatsoever. Great for providing a wired ethernet connection to a not-very-accessible place without needing to run cable to it. Note that the Internet speeds achieved therein will be slightly below wifi speeds, so I wouldn't rely on this to provide wired ethernet for really bandwidth intensive needs.

I needed range extender in my house because I could not get strong signal in the garage from my office where the wi-fi router is located. D-Link is a pretty well known brand and I own few items made by the company that lasted me years and still going strong.I was pleasantly surprised how small it is, how simple is setup and how strong is the signal.Setup was very simple following provided instructions. Once connected signal showed 3 bars even at the furthest from the router corner in the house. It creates a new network using the original network name by adding "-EXT" to it, which sadly requires you to maintain multiple networks, but it uses the same password and modern equipment using Wi-Fi usually automatically connects to the new network when connection is lost.It solved my connection issues in the garage where I get very strong signal now and can connect my Wi-Fi switch for the decorations, lights and other equipment at the front of the house. Thanks for readin,

Worked for about a month, then seemed to forget our home network. After hours of troubleshooting (I know my way around network set-up and settings) and the discovery that D-Link's customer support is utter s#$&, I've thrown this product in the garbage never to purchase a d-link product again.Save yourself the headache, go with a different company.

Product works well when it works. Was a bit of a pain to set up because our modem was not compatible and had to be rerouted to allow the D-Link to work which was super time consuming. Not an easy product for non tech saavy individual.

With WPS router the installation just takes about minute and extender assumes 'SSID-EXT' as its SSID and same password as your router. It supports three modes for configuration:1. WPS2. HTTP based3. Mobile app basedWPS is the easiest. HTTP involves connecting to repeater using the default SSID and password supplied, and connecting to 192.68.0.51, this is not mentioned in the setup guide supplied with product, but setup guide mentions http:dlinkaplocal. which unfortunately did not work for me, so better download the product guide from product website if you plan to configure through HTTP, once configured it works flawless. Mobile app based is straight forward, connect your mobile to repeater using the default SSID and password supplied, follow step by step instructions shown in app and then its done, it also gives an option to send the configuration to your email.I was able to configure this with NETGEAR and DLINK routers, needless to say it can operate with any routers. It has good range (I have checked upto 40 feet), and wifi strength indication LED's are really useful.

This is a great Wifi Extender. I bought this because i just got new internet installed. The internet box was put downstairs not allowing me to have a Ethernet cable run to my computer upstairs. My computer does not have a WIFI chip installed and can only hard-wire to Ethernet. I Bought this and poped it into the wall plug and set it up! Once easily connected to you're wifi it will create a brand new wifi called "(You're internet name-EXT)" And requires your already set internet password. It works great and the built in Ethernet port works amazing! I get a solid 100 MBps on this. If you want the full 300 MBPS through Ethernet you need a ethernet cord that can handle it. It works great and i can get my wifi up the street from my house. With no wifi extender i get it maybe in my parking lot. This is great for gaming or extender you're internet!

Although easy to install and get going, it is very flaky. I have to restart often. Having said that the DLink router I have also had issues, it appears though that issues are more persistent with Apple products, which are not too impressive with WIFI themselves.

We always thought we had good internet throughout the house until my laptop stopped picking up the signal. It would work when I went to the back of the house where the router was, but now we have coverage everywhere including when we pull up to the house. Our phones automatically connect outside to the extender. Well worth the $30. The laptop now works again. Very easy to set up too. Our home is 2400 square feet including the basement so great to have coverage in every part of the house, and also in the garage connected to the house.

it works good for me. The setup is through web browser, not the WPS button, as I don't have that for my router. it did extend the WIFI, and more stable than the wireless router itself. Sometimes the router's WIFI will stop working, but this extender still works, as i'm using the Ethernet cable, thus result my problem: not only the WIFI range, but also the non-connection issues. The router still sucks, though!
