Built a new pc and only realized while building that my motherboard didn't have an rgb 3-pin header, only jrgb 4-pin (msi). Bought this and set it up and all my fan lights turned on right away and work perfectly. Would recommend to anyone missing a dedicated rgb port.

Good value for the money but does not sync to Asus 4 pin RGB Motherboard header, main reason I purchased this unit.

This was a quick an easy install and works ad advertised. If your mother board only has 12volt RGB headers and want something to convert to 3 pin volt fan this this is the item for you. Easy to follow instructions and come included with all cables necessary. It even works with my rgb software. No need to open your back panel or mess with the controller. It even has an extra port to hook your reset switch to it you wish to switch your rgb that way. Come with connections for 3 fans but with the sata power you can daisy chain more items if you wish.

I've read some limited reviews on this product from Youtube before purchasing it. There is one youtube review which stated that this has a noticeable lag in changing colors compared to the Deepcool convertor. Although I would have preferred to purchase the Deepcool convertor as I have their RGB fans and like them, there were none in stock so I went with the EZDIY-FAB convertor.Overall this convertor is very good. The lag in changing color is noticeable compared to the EZDIY-FAB RGB ram cover I own as well but it is a split second at most and not that noticeable. Even when sync'd to music via Asus Aura Sync, there is no visible lag.Please note that ARGB fans cannot do multi colors or sequential lighting when connected to this convertor. It is not the product's defect but the limitation of the 12V RGB header on your motherboard. If you want to sync 5V ARGB fans to your motherboard and take full advantage of all the modes via motherboard control (Aura Sync, Mystic Light, RGBFusion etc) you must replace your motherboard to one that has the 5V addressable RGB header.

I don't know what happened. I bought this RGB convertor and ever since using it my 5700xt ramps up to 100% fan speed on boot. I've had this PC running great for 6+ months and now it happens when I start my PC or wake it from sleep.The colors are great, but the fan.. that's odd. I don't know what to do about it.

It is a useful deviceIf your RGB motherboard is 4 pins and you bought new RGB fans with 3 pins, this thing is going to solve your problem. It was so easy to install.But unfortunately, in my opinion,1- I think the 18$ is too high and expensive for this device. ( I needed it, so I had to buy it)2- the case of this device made from ordinary plastic.3- it doesn't have a reset cable, it has the socket but not the cable! (so strange)4- it doesn't have a two-sided tape, which you can stick it somewhere in your case ( the similar models have!)5- The last but not the least, sometimes it just not syncing with your MB, it is not suitable for the fast effects, and it takes time to sync it with your MB, and when you want to switch the new effects, you have to resync it again with the button inside your case which is so painful.
