The Liyquint OV7670 Camera Module is a low resolution camera solution at a very attractive price for experimenting with image capture on small microprocessors.The 8 bit low res images can be captured at a reasonable frame rate for further processing for robotics or security motion detection applications.This is older technology and there are more expensive, much better camera solutions available if you are really wanting larger images to work with.There are good sample applications and interfacing source code available if you search.Good cheap little camera.
