Always buy this if you can't find the rubberized type. The regular paper ones are always leaking.
Great quality and fit

These are quality gaskets so do not get me wrong here. I would buy this again. It would be beneficial to have adhesive on one side of the gasket to hold it in place during assembly. I have purchased thermostat housing gaskets before that had a siliconized peel-off paper to expose a thin coating of gasket adhesive for the purpose of holding the gasket in place on the thermostat housing while assembling the thermostat housing back onto the engine. Those reminded me of a peel off label. I used Permatex #2 for this purpose but next time I might shop a little more for the peel-off backing gasket to save a step and also less messy.

I had a coolant leak and a squeak, so I figured it was time to replace the 'ol water pump (~8 years old; leaked somehow within a few years).I had a new thermostat already, so I just wanted a gasket. And Fel-Pro was what I wanted.Amazon delivered it on time. Of course, I thought I saved on some gas (pat back), but later, I found out that I needed to grab a bypass hose, so that was moot as I headed up to the local parts store.Of course, I made a mess (coolant everywhere) even though I had a bucket and a tarp. Why can't Jeep or aftermarket companies make a coolant drain knob on the radiator? Why?!?? :( [Honda has a nice one. There's a "plug" looking knob on the radiator. Turn it, and it opens a port that drains straight down!]Anyways, when I took off the accessory mount on my '95 GC 5.2L V8, I saw that maybe the last gasket was the culprit. That darn mechanic! (I think it was me!).This time, I took my time and cleaned everything nice. No RTV on the water pump gasket. Torqued everything down good per specs.- Thermostat: 16 ft-lbs.- Water pump: 30 ft-lbs.- Power Steering pump: 20 ft-lbs.Refilled 0.75 gallon concentrate coolant + 0.75 gallon distilled water. (added about 1/2 gallon to the reservoir to FULL line)No leak!My mechanic (me) rocks!
