This is really an excellent device. I had my doubts at first, being sceptical of most advertising, but this dematting tool really does the job gently and effectively. Very easy to use and instructions are provided. My cat loves being brushed and had only two or three very small mats in his fur that were easily dealt with and I can see that it would do a good job on more serious mats too, although it might take a little longer. I thoroughly recommend this addition to your cat's (or dog's) grooming equipment.

I bought clippers thinking I'd have to get the matts out from behind my dogs ears (he has a ear irritation right now so scratching +his fur type behind ears =mats). German shepherd that runs from brushes. Ran from the clippers too. I can get him to sit still with this tool. Less scary for me too. It effortlessly removes the matts. 3 or so swipes and generally removed. No discomfort for the pooch either. I was worried it pulled but it must have been tolerable because a very intolerant pup was able to tolerate it without flinching. Best money I've ever spent on a pet grooming tool. The deshedder was meh, the rake was meh. This is a must have if your pet is prone to mats. Sometimes they just have that kind of fur! Luckily not all over for my pooch just small area behind the ears. Very efficient tool 10/10

I’ve always loved Furminator products. This de-matting blade didn’t let me down - I was able to get a bunch of mats out of my cat’s fur quickly and easily. Highly recommend.

Fits in my hand easily with a comfortable grip. Grabs a lot of undercoat in a short amount of time.In just a minute or less, on my pom I had a Cottonball size ball of fur from him. This was recommended to me by our groomer because my 11 year old pomeranian has a very dense coat.(Literally feels like he's wearing a polar fleece hoodie) He's groomed approx every 8 weeks and they use this on him EVERY time! It's important to know that you need to detangle your pet FIRST!! Be sure you're not using it over matted areas. Comb those out firstUse a favorite regular dog brush before using this. The Furminator only needs quick strokes in the direction the fur grows. This is NOT for long stroke brushing. It grabs an insane amount of undercoat which is just hanging in there anyways.Your dog will be uncomfortable if you take to long of strokes with this as it will pull. Otherwise it's very good at getting the job done. Can be used on short hair dogs too. Has an adjustable height option but be VERY careful. Your dog will hate you if you use this too far down into their coat and cut or scratch them with it.I do not recommend this being used by kids under age 15 unless you're sure your kids are very well informed on how to use it. Definitely not for kids under 10.This reaches deeper than any other tool I've ever used and works wonders on my pomeranian. If you've got a pomeranian, golden retriever, husky, malamute, chow or any dog with a similar coat thickness or fluff level, this will help greatly between grooming.I highly recommend Furminator predicts but especially this.

This thing is off the charts amazing. My poor cat who is considered a short-hair does have quite a long, thick coat. She hates being brushed and has put on weight so she has trouble grooming. We're on that with diet and exercise, but in the meantime she has these massive mats that she's having trouble getting rid of at the base of her back and she won't let me go near them. When she's able she takes care of business on her own, but it's not as frequent as it should be and the mats just keep coming. This product glides through them. I couldn't believe my eyes. Within seconds I had a tennis ball size amount of mats that it removed. She won't stand for it long and it does allow you to be very gentle, but over time I think this will be a magic solution. I would highly, highly recommend this product.
