I have installed this intermediate shaft in my 2011 Toyota Highlander V6. It fits perfectly. Gone are cracks and occasional clicks that I felt on the steering wheel while turning. This part looks like updated version of the original, with thicker sliding rod. U-joints have Japanese bearings in them. Good quality so far!

Gotta say was skeptical but I trusted the reviews and got it. Just installed about 30 minutes ago took it on a drive on the highway no more shaking sketchy loose feeling steering wheel. No more clunk when turning car just feels much safer. Took me about an hour and a half to install I recommend getting an electric scissor jack that cuts off like 30 minutes easy off any install. Firestone wanted 700 and a part installer wanted 400 just to install. Just do it yourself there are step by step YouTube guides. Looks a lot more quality than the original too

Buy this OEM part and have your local auto shop do the repair. Stay away from the stealerships. My local shop charged me for only 1.3 hours of labor even though the end of the shaft in the engine bay gave them all kinds of trouble when they tried removing it. To that end (pun intended), if you try to do this job yourself, be prepared for a battle if you live in an area where the roads are salted during the winter. You’ll likely need to get under the car to get the angle needed to tap the shaft off the rack. Also, if you use heat to remove it, BE CAREFUL.... excessive heat can damage the seal at the top of the rack where this shaft connects..... if you do that you’ll be replacing the whole rack to the tune of a 4-figure expense, easily.

Perfect fit on my 2008 Highlander. OEM Quality. Don't buy aftermarket. This one is alot more sturdy.
