The GLYDER (Torsion-Flex) Ball Mount is a lightweight product rated for 7,000 lbs. that offers several benefits to its users. What really sets this product apart is its use of GEN-Y’s patented TORSION-FLEX technology. This technology allows the truck and trailer to glide down the road eliminating the jarring and shock transfer of a standard 2” ball mount. The GLYDER helps provide one of the smoothest and safest towing experiences available. Whether you’re towing lightweight campers, teardrop trailers, small landscape trailers, or even boats, this hitch will get you where you need to go while keeping you and your cargo safe and sound! Geared toward the lighter towing market, the GLYDER is an affordable and quality hitch. There are also many attachments available for our product, meaning the possibilities are endless! Our attachments include 2″, 2 5/16″, and 1 7/8″ single ball mounts and an adjustable ball platform. Note: It is not recommended to use this product with stacked tube GEN-Y receiver hitches due to extended length and stress on the truck receiver.

Best investment I made to tow my cargo trailer. Smooth trailering.

I have a dump trailer that is horrible to tow when empty. I wondered and inquired about changing the suspension under the trailer. That looked like a 5k fix. Wondered about this style plus the airbag style. Anyhow I bought this one as it is much cheaper. I hooked up my airtow drop deck single axle trailer. There is a rubber suspension on that trailer it tows very nicely in its stock form and when hooked up to this hitch it is wonderful. Truck rides better with that trailer and that hitch on than it does empty. Back to the dump trailer I have not tried it yet on the dump trailer but I am sure it will be better than before by my experience with the airtow flat bed. I cannot use this with the dump trailer is I fill it will dirt or gravel but I mainly haul junk to the dump out of my rentals This will be a prayer answered. Cheap vs buying a new dump trailer or changing out the suspension on it. I will have to look around for a higher tow rating hitch for when I haul gravel in the dump unit. I have three pickups and this one will be always in use on one of the three truck. Thank you I am very happy with the product and will use it for many years.

We are very happy with ours and we can’t feel the trailer behind us. Certainly takes a lot of pressure off the car.

This is a very good hitch if you are towing between 5,000 lbs and 7,000 lbs. I’ve used this hitch half a dozen times since I purchased it to tow my ~6,500 lbs boat and trailer. My tow vehicle is a 2020 Ford Expedition FX4 which has a rated towing capacity of 9,200 lbs. I can say that this hitch makes a huge difference in how the trailer handles the bumps and bruises from the road. Instead of hitting a whole in the truck and then waiting a second for the trailer to hit the same hole and then proceed to shake the truck for another second or two afterwards, this thing allows the shock of the trailer hitting that hole to be absorbed and smoothed out. This allows me as the driver to feel much more comfortable on the road while towing and creates an overall pleasant towing experience.I will note that this hitch is not height adjustable. If you’re truck’s hitch and your trailer’s ball mount height are not equally high then this hitch will not work for you. But, if they are I cannot recommend this hitch any more highly.Pros:- Works as advertised- heavy-duty constructionCons:- heavy, this thing is heavy- big, not likely that you’ll want to keep this in your vehicle when not in use.- non-height adjustable- trailer must weigh between 5k and 7k lbs for this hitch to be effective.Overall I’m very pleased with this purchase.

Just used this hitch for the first time with weight on my trailer. Approximately 5300 lbs. total weight and about 600 tongue weight. Could see the trailer rocking without feeling it on the truck. Does what they claim and makes towing less annoying. 5 of 5 stars.

In total, I would give this 4.5 stars. Overall, the idea behind this is brilliant, and it works. The small downgrade is for minor quality control issues as well as fit and finish. The thickness of the metal used makes it difficult to bend and shape aspects of the design. This leads to minor inconsistencies in the final product - without effecting actual function. The finish is nice, although it is relatively easy to damage. I would have been happy with an aluminum version as well, due to the fact this thing is pretty darn heavy all by itself. With all that said - when it comes down to pure functionality, this earns a 5 out of 5. And I rated it accordingly. My vehicle is a 2013 BMW X5 35d. It’s the 3.0 liter inline 6 turbo-diesel version of the vehicle. The vehicle is a unibody SAV, so the tendency for such a vehicle is to transmit a lot of vibration and jarring into the cabin during towing - because everything is in essence directly connected. This is unlike a truck style body over frame SUV, which tends to isolate occupants from essentially everything. This ball mount effectively isolated the vast majority of vibration and jarring that would normally be transmitted into the vehicle, making the towing experience so much less noisy and stressful.Previous towing with a standard setup was nerve racking at best. You felt every bump, clunk and vibration from the trailer. I towed nearly 5000 lbs with this ball mount and I found myself frequently checking the rear view to make sure the trailer was still behind the vehicle... because it was that quiet and vibration free.I would say my first impressions are that this is worth the added cost on the reduction of noise and vibration alone. I can’t speak to longevity as of yet because I’ve only towed once with this ball mount. I can’t say I saved any fuel with this, and there really is no way to say this saved tire wear either, as claimed by the manufacturer. However, I don’t dispute the claims either. An unfortunate byproduct of the smoothness of this product was the fact I drove faster than normal while towing as the lack of noise instills a level of comfort and confidence not present with a standard ball mount. That is worth noting as a ticket is no fun.

Absolutely fantastic product. Extremely well made and completely solves trailer noise issues. However, this is a very heavy duty product and not needed for lightweight trailers.
