Bought this electronic shear as I find myself getting tired of cutting shrubs with a large and heavy cutter causing unnecessary wrist pain. It was very easy to use and even though I applied the 5ah battery on it, it's not too heavy and cuts the shrubs very easily and cleanly. It made yard work much more enjoyable to do, as I can finish the cuts much quicker and pain-free.

This is about my 5th shrub trimmer over the years. The other brands don't even come close to this one by Greenworks! It works perfectly, and after trimming 5 boxwood shrubs, the battery was only down one-third! I love that the batteries from our other Greenworks tools (drill, impact driver, flashlight, sander, etc.) also fit this shrubber tool! This unit feels high quality, sturdy, well-built, and ergonomic in the hand. I have arthritis in my hands and my hands didn't even hurt after this large job I just did. I highly recommend this tool!

I needed a trimmer to get into corners and other areas my lawn mower cannot reach. So I had high hopes this would do the trick. My lawn mower is from Greenworks, too, and I am very happy with it. However, this shear falls short of expectations. The cutting power is not enough to cut grass in a smooth and reasonable way. Wet or dry, grass is more bent/pushed down than cut. I have to angle the shear (think of an army helicopter taking off and speeding away) and even then it takes a long time for the grass to be cut.I haven't even tried it on shrubs so not sure what to do with it.

A decent tool that is far cheaper than the standard whipping units. If you don't mind bending over to cut the grass then this clipper is a good choice. I have minimal grass to trim around a raised flower garden. I'm currently unsure of the battery life and changing the blades isn't a smooth process.

we have a small yard (23*30) so we don't need a bulky heavy duty trimmer. this hand held lightweight electric shear is all we needed to trim the edges and it's so easy to use. would recommend for sure!

Very Lightweight, easy to use , perfect for my arthrititc hands as I can't use sizzor type anymore. This strummed my thinner type plants, Mums, ,grasses, tulips stalks after blooming. Light bushes. Will not trim thick branches. Perfect for my needs. Battery lasted until I was done. Two different blades. Love it

El corta-setos poda muy bien, pero no es para nada ergonómico, es demasiado incómodo estar manteniendo oprimido el gatillo de accionamiento y la batería dura muy poco, a lo máximo 25 minutos y lo peor es que tarda 4.5 horas para recargarse, nada funcional!

Very powerful, light-weight, long battery life, sharp blades, quick charging. However, it does not feel balanced in hand while using and therefore depressing the trigger to operate is awkward. Good for small jobs, but ergonomics need tweaking for using more than a few minutes. May try wrapping a rubber band to hold the switch down next time I use it.Update: Purchased a different brand to use this season, but my Greenworks model is still going strong. The blades are still sharp, it still recharges very quickly, and the chargestill lasts long enough to do the whole yard at one time.Update: I'm a little upset that this trimmer is still in perfect working order. Two summers and the blades are still sharp and I can still do the whole front and backyard on one charge. I use it every week! For two summers! The switch is still anoying as ever. I want to use my new one but this one won't die or go dull. What's up with that?Update: third summer of weekly use. I use it for about 30 minutes and the battery has never died. It fully charges in less than an hour. The grass cutting blades are getting a little chewy and unfortunately you can't buy replacements. So I'll keep this one for the mini hedger and use my new one for grass.
