This chord presser takes a bit of getting used to. Once you have the hang of it, it can help solidify your understanding of the hand shapes required for a few key chords. It fits on my acoustic guitar with no issues. I find it very helpful for protecting my fingers when they get sore after playing for a long time. The included capo and guitar picks are a nice bonus.

This guitar string presser from brand FORMIPOW is just not a functional tool, even for a beginner. In fact, I would go on to say that these devices generally make the process of learning even more difficult for most. And worse, this device just does not sit correctly on a guitar arm, making the pressing of strings nearly impossible, and entirely drab-sounding. It is generally is cumbersome, and not enjoyable to use from my recent experience with it. After doing some research online, I found that these devices are almost universally disliked, and I probably should have done some read-ups before ordering. That said, the kit did come with some great guitar picks and a capo that works well also. Perhaps user experience will vary, but I am personally not impressed. 3 stars.

I'm a complete beginner when it comes to guitar, and this chord presser has been a helpful tool. The 11 chords it covers are enough to play many basic songs, and the included pick and capo are a welcome addition. It's like having a cheat sheet for chords. The white plastic is lightweight and easy to handle, and the device is simple to use. It's a great way to get started and build some confidence before tackling the complexities of finger placement. It’s a great visual way to understand how chords are formed. It's a fun and unique way to learn guitar.

This product is a fun idea with some potential but in reality, it falls very flat. For starters, there are no instructions at all to tell you how to install it or how to use it. Most buttons on the chord presser are labelled but there are a couple that have no labels at all and you will have to guess or play around with it in order to find out what they do or how to use them. Once you muddle through the installation, the chord presser does work somewhat but you are very limited to what chords you can play and honestly, the whole thing feels rather cheap and poorly made. I’ve seen home made 3D printed things that are better quality than this. If you are purchasing this product, the chances are pretty good that you can’t play guitar. After installing this product and using it for a while, let me assure you that you will still not be able to play guitar. This is a gimmick to let you strum some predetermined chords without having any knowledge of music or guitar playing. If you can’t play guitar, then you probably don’t know what the chords are supposed to sound like and let me tell you that some of them just don’t sound right. The picks that come with this set are pretty generic and honestly, they are a little on the thick side making for a very harsh sound when strumming or picking notes. All in all, this product is a poorly made gimmick that, once the novelty wears off (which is very quickly), will be tossed in the corner and never touched again. Fun concept. Just poorly executed.

This thing is extremely finicky.First off, I wouldn't bother with this unless you're playing a classical guitar with the wider neck. It doesn't really sit properly on a standard electric or acoustic. If you can get it to sit properly, there isn't enough pressure transfered through the plastic buttons to effectively create the chord shapes, so you end up missing a lot of notes. The plastic feet that hold it on the neck are almost entirely useless as well, because you're trying to tighten something that sits at a 90⁰ angle to a curved surface, and it ends up sliding around a lot.I'm sure some people can get this to work for what they need, but I think the execution could be much better.

As a beginner guitarist, finding the right tools to help build your skills and comfort level is key. The FormiPow Guitar Chord Presser is a fantastic accessory that provides a simple yet effective solution for learners looking to practice chords with ease. Here’s why I highly recommend it:How It Works: The chord pressers are designed to help you press down multiple strings at once, making it much easier for beginners to form chords correctly. Simply place the presser on the strings in the designated area, and it applies even pressure across the fretboard. This helps reduce finger strain and allows you to focus on strumming and rhythm.Great for Finger Strength and Technique: As a beginner, pressing down the strings can be tough, especially for longer chords or barre chords. These pressers eliminate the need for perfect finger placement early on, which can boost your confidence. They're also useful for building finger strength and muscle memory for when you eventually play without them.Quality and Durability: The build quality is solid—sturdy yet lightweight, which means you won’t have to worry about it breaking easily. It’s designed to withstand the pressure of repeated use, so you can rely on it as you progress in your playing.Learning Aid: This tool is more than just a convenience—it's an effective learning aid. For those struggling with finger placement or chord transitions, it helps you focus on the musical aspects of playing rather than stressing over hand positioning. The included guitar pick and capo also help you practice playing in different keys and styles.

Came with no instructions. It's a trial and error, i was unable to get it right after serveral hours of fussing with it and with help of others too. I would hold off and wait till they fix the the bugs and maybe try a newer version.

Plastic is extremely cheap.. rubs off against strings and has the strings sounding like h*ll when trying to play a chord... waste of $45 for sure... would love my money back except i would have to send it back and dont want to go through that hassle. I wouldnt even give it one star lol
