Works ridiculously well!! The only reason Im giving it 4 instead of 5 stars is because on certain guitars the nut has to be off of the guitar to get the file to work right

It would probably be ok if no strings are involved but the wingnut whacks the headstock and get caught up in the other strings.

I don't actually put the various size files on that contraption, I just use my two hands and it works a lot better. The set would wear out quickly if used to cut new nuts but if you're simply adjusting the height of a bridge or nut, it should do fine. I've used it on five guitars that that didn't need extensive adjustment and so far the kit is working just fine.

Very straight forward to use. Great value for the money. I had a poorly cut nut from Fender. I built it back up using super glue and then re-filed with this. Worked quickly. Perfectly.Kit is simple, easy to use. Every guitarist should gave one.

These will not take out material with any degree of expediency. The wound string files are torch tip cleaners, and the smaller ones do have a bit of abrasive on them. If you're trying to make the absolute slightest of adjustments, these might work before they wear out, but if you're using them on a new nut (I'm using TUSQ), then look elsewhere. I was able to remove a bit of material on my low E for a few minutes, but after that, it barely removed any material. I may have lowered the slot 0.16" before giving up. The housing is also useless as it's too bulky to allow you to follow the angle of the headstock. You'll have to use these with your hands.

This a glorified torch tip cleaner with some kind of handle that looks like a hacksaw accept but does not work like one. I di not even try it it looks so "CHEAP" I though I might break it and ruin my return. Once again Amazon need to test the product before selling it. This is "BAD". There was a video on the selling page but it ran so fast you could not comprehend any of it!!
