New kayak hatch, easy install

I t was on sale, so I grabbed it. I have installed a few on my kayaks previously. Why do they advertise it for INFLATABLE KAYAKS ??? it is for your run-of-the-mill plastic (Pelican, etc) entry level kayaks. Get a router/ milling bit for a drill and CAREFULLY cut out a hole for it behind the seat. Buy some stainless steel nuts & bolts to fix it in place. The MAJOR BENEFIT of putting a hatch in is NOT what you can fit in the little red bag - it is that you can now stuff the dead space behind the seat with pool noodles and styrofoam packing blocks so that you kayak will not sink like a stone when swamped.
