We have bought yak cheese sticks from a few different brands. These are OK. They have a really smoky smell which was very noticeable in the house. The dog doesn’t mind but I wouldn’t buy them again.

Quality was good. I’ve bought a lot of yak sticks over time and these ones didn’t crack like some do. My dogs truly do seem to love these ones.

A go to for our gsd. It's her favourite treat. Usually lasts a few days. She'll chomp it into oblivion. Never tried reshaping it in the microwave. Never needed to. She chews them right up. Never tried to swallow it whole.

We keep these coming on a regular basis because our dog just loves them. Great for keeping their teeth clean. Great for puppies who wanna chew everything! 😆

I bought these yak chews as they were recommended to me in order to keep my dog satisfied and distracted with a chew. I assumed that they would last a few days at least but my dog had the whole thing gone within 10 to 15 minutes which I was shocked at. After a few days I gave her a second one and only let her have it for 5 minutes and the next day she was sick and there was chunks of The Chew in her vomit. I don't really see the point of these chews as they're not really long lasting and there's really no nutritional value. I certainly do not recommend them. I contacted the supplier and he suggested putting it in the microwave which I did and it did come out as a puffy cheese crispy treat of course it's not a chew anymore it's just a bunch of calories. I emailed him back again and explain that it's not why I bought these and they did not respond. Very disappointed.

My small dog - Bugg, takes three to four days to chew it down to about an inch and a half before I through it out - to prevent choking hazard. My medium dog - collie/staffy, has it chewed in one day. Really have to watch her with it because sometimes when she bites it, slivers chunk off. So would recommend you watch your SERIOUS chewer when using it. There is no order which I love, no staining and supposed to be all natural. A great treat once in awhile as they are a little pricey.

Started giving my pup these at around 3 months old. Good to keep him busy and contented between meals and in the evening. I never leave him alone with it and take it away when his food is out or when it’s bedtime. I get the large size and they fit inside the blue puppy Kong, which helps my little guy hold it for chewing. He is teething now that he is 4 months old, and doesn’t seem as interested in them at the moment. Bully sticks seem like better relief for his sore gums and mouth… the yak cheese is too hard I think. He will go back to them once teething is over is my guess.Great tip: I read some reviewers say you can puff up any remaining pieces in a microwave, but I don’t own one of those. I thought I’d try the toaster oven, on a little foil, and it worked great to puff the end piece up and turn it into a different kind of treat. Love that there is no waste. Each large stick lasts about a week, which makes the $10 a stick price seem a tiny bit more reasonable.UPDATE: As an adult pup these no longer work as a cost effective treat... my boy will eat an entire stick in less than 10 minutes, which doesn't keep him occupied long enough. He does still love them though! To be fair, 12 inch bully sticks last less than 20 minutes... so I guess he is quite the chewer. Switched to the large cow bones as a natural treat and also always have a Benebone going.
