I picked this up to replace my older Dremel, and I’m really impressed. The power is solid, and the battery life is great—I love that you can remove the whole battery for charging and storage, instead of having to plug the whole unit in awkwardly from the base like many other battery-powered hand tools. The variable speed control makes it really versatile for different applications, and the included accessories cover a lot of tasks right out of the box (and my old accessories fit the chuck, so it’s universally compatible). My only gripe is the storage container for the accessories isn’t transparent, so you can’t see what’s inside at a glance. I’ll be using my own storage, but the tool itself is fantastic.

This tool feels good in the hand and is nice and smooth from 5000 all the way up to 35000.The battery is removable and can be changed while attached or detached using a standard USB C cable (short one is included). The battery light "breathes" while charging and goes solid white when it is fully charged.It comes with a number of accessories but it will use any standard rotary tool pieces.The clear shield slides onto the end nice and tightly to prevent debris from flying around.I like the LED on the end as it helps light up what you're working on.The shaft lock does feel a bit weak so time will tell if it stands up ok.

I have a older corded series 200 Dremel that I have owned for many years. I decided to go with this HOTO cordless version of a Dremel-like tool. Here's what I see are my pros and cons of the HOTO tool compared with my Dremel 200.Pros:- Cordless.- Brushless motor.- Charged using the ubiquitous USB-C format.- Works with the standard accessory Dremel shanks. There are plenty of different accessory Dremel and Dremel clone shanks. Wide range of accessories and prices.- Collet interchangeable with Dremel.- Variable speed selection. I can control the speed to match the work I want to do.- Less blowing of air from the air flow vents. The Dremel air flow is fairly strong and always seem to blow into my face.- LED light reduces shadows. Too bad it can't be used as a work light--it doesn't actually cast light on the work area.- Lighter tool compared to the Dremel 200 (425g for the HOTO vs. 465g for the Dremel).- The accessories container is a series of snap-on 3.5cm x 6 cm boxes. Ideal for organizing and for transportation. You essentially take the just accessories (boxes) you need.Cons:- Does not operate with the USB-C charge cable attached and charging. You need to have the tool charged before it can work.- No battery charging indicator. Does not show what percentage the tool's battery is at, or whether it's fully charged.- Does not support some specialized Dremel accessories like the cutting guide or garden tool sharpener. That's too bad because some of these accessories are very useful.- The narrow diameter of the Dremel provides for a better pencil grip of the tool.Overall, this HOTO rotary tool is useful. It can be a substitute for your Dremel.

Nice quality and decent performance for a cordless tool of this type.The strange thing is, it has a removable battery but they don't offer a replacement battery.It would be nice if you could keep a spare charged battery to swap out if you needed it.Not as powerful as a corded Dremel but was not expecting that.Deducted one star because of the battery but maybe they will offer one in the future.

Outstanding build quality. Every part feels solid and well made. The motor is very powerful and quiet. I tried almost every included accessory and was impressed by the performance of each one. For most of them you can use a low or medium power setting. There are likely few times you'll ever need to go beyond the mid range power setting. I was particularly blown away by how well the sanding function worked.It's a very solid unit but it's small and light enough to be held like a pen. There is minimal kickback as it really eats through wood well.The only criticism I have is very minor. The two battery release clips are sensitive and easy to activate. So you have to be cognizant of where they are. I pressed them accidently once and the battery took a 4 foot fall onto concrete. But I picked it up and it didn't have a mark on it. Popped it back in and it started up with no issues. Like I said, outstanding build quality!

Worked twice, put away and after return date expired i tried to use again and did not work. I charged overnight thinking battery died, this did not work.I have bought many small grinders on Amazon, they have all worked regardless of time sitting. Will never buy this brand again.
