Like many products there are positive and less positive reviews. For me the single most impressive thing for this kit at this price point is that it includes genuine Microsoft components. I did not need the tools as I already have these sizes, but hey who can't use a few 'extra' tools. UPDATE: The tool kit I received contained T2, T6 & T8. The T2 was incorrect for my controller as I required a T3. (Already had one , so not an issue for me.)

The overall shell is okay feels the like same cheap material for the grips. The tool will strip your screws!!!!!!

The quality of tool kit is great, as far as working on the controller goes. So far the cases seem to be of identical, or at least super similar materials. The downside is that the kit does not come with double sided adhesive tape that is required for swapping over the magnets found on the inside of the bottom case. I got the controller disassembled fairly easily but soon realized that the tape is required.. so now I’m forced to track down the correct tape and save the disassembled parts until it arrives, whenever that may be..
