wiped the surface before hand, allowed it to dry.Peeled the back and positioned it perfectly. Held it in place with pressure for about 10mins, seal was perfect. Then as I was sitting in the passenger watching a netflix > , it started to peel off & lose its backing, the cover is still on, but as you can see in the image - the peeling off, lifts the cover and lets in light.No idea if it will cause issues with AP yet, but super disappointed with the quality for an otherwise perfect sized hole/cover

Easy install just remove the double sided tape cover and lined em up and your hood to go!

Although this camera cover is advertised for Tesla vehicles, it looked like a perfect fit for my laptopâs webcam, so I went ahead and ordered it. The cover has a self-adhesive strip on the back. I cleaned the laptop with a bit of rubbing alcohol before sticking the camera cover on, and it seems to be properly stuck in place. The webcam cover has a really low profile. It is not much higher than the little rubber strips that hold the screen above the keyboard when the laptop is closed. The coverâs slider is also very smooth and easy to move from open to closed. Plus: the pack includes two camera covers, so now I have a spare!

I love FSD! I use it on most drives when traffic isnât too bad. My biggest complaint is how nitpicky the internal camera is about glancing away for literally one second. Iâm not talking around pedestrians, I mean on the highway when you can be certain thereâs absolutely nothing around you, and you glance away only to be yelled at.I donât like the idea of the camera watching me when FSD is not activated. I recognize thereâs a safety component to the internal facing camera, but I am also aware that Tesla staff have a history of watching and recording the interior cameras. It, they got a lot of trouble for the privacy violations.Thatâs where this cover comes off in. I installed it on my 2023 model X and 2022 model S. it fit perfectly on both.I have tested when having the camera covered causes problems.When driving without FSD/auto pilot, you can have the camera covered permanently and the system will not give you any trouble.If the camera is covered and you try to turn on FSD/auto pilot. It will give you an error. Even after you uncover the camera, it will take a few seconds before you can activate FSD/auto pilot.If you have the camera uncovered you can activate FSD/auto pilot as you always would. Covering the camera while FSD/autopilot is enabled will give you about two minutes of privacy before the car will go crazy.These were exactly as advertised. They feel secure both in the open enclosed position. I see a fix for this coming, so Iâm happy to see the price at a level that I wonât cry when it stops working.

Two of these covers for $8 is outrageous (they were $10 when I ordered them!). These covers are extremely thin. Unlike a normal plastic piece that you would expect to snap if you tried to bend it, these are so thin they will just bend (it'd probably snap eventually, but I would rather not be stuck with just one of these)Additionally, one of mine was very hard to click into the locked position. Like it felt like it was about to come off with the amount of force I had to use to get it to lock.So yeah. Tesla tax in full force here. I'd go with different covers.
