When I bought this set, I wasn't sure it would actually work the way I wanted it to. I love homegrown strawberries, but where I live, surrounded by lush forest , I have slugs with radar who like to taste the plants that survive my immediate neglect. These little platforms hold the leaves and berries up an inch or two off the ground, and slugs appear to miss them. They slide right by, and when I check the berries, they are perky, without chunks or slobber, ready for the breakfast table. Even I could easily assemble them, and at the end of last season they looked brand new and ready to serve other purposes (toy space stations, rock displays, kiddy pool dive platforms.....) until I informed the grandchildren that they were going to fly into the shed until next Spring.

I like them to keep the berries up out of the dirt. My berry bushes were already grown big, so it was a little hard to get them around. But I had several people comment on how beautiful and health them look. Hopefully I'll get a lot of strawberries this year.

I was tired of losing my strawberry yield bc all my strawberries were sitting in the dirt getting eaten by bugs and rotting. I put these in and now I’m getting a much higher yield of strawberries. They’re very easy to put together and install. But I recommend installing them while the plants are young and small as it will be easier installation. My plants are 3 years old and I have lots of runners that are rooting. It was much easier to put these around the young plants than the mother plants, but it was not impossible. The interlocking pieces snap together easy and as long as you put the leg pieces in the holes the right way they stay in place. The legs have a narrower end that goes in the ground, if it’s backwards, they’ll fall right out.

Had to return. May work great if you put around plants when you first plant. As it was I could not get them into my small bed, and had to just use straw to keep the berries off of the ground.
