About this item

  • Fits the 1997–2008 Chevrolet Corvette
  • Lower activation temp allows coolant to flow through the engine earlier
  • Maintains lower temperatures and extends engine life
  • Mishimoto Activation: 160°F (71°C) / OEM Activation: 186°F (85.5°C)

Chevrolet LSX engines achieve impressive power in both naturally aspirated and forced-induction forms. With added power comes increased heat that necessitates a reliable and efficient cooling system. Protect your vehicle from overheating by upgrading to the Mishimoto racing thermostat. This thermostat promotes greater cooling efficiency by significantly decreasing high engine temperatures. Once the engine is fully warmed up, the Mishimoto low-temperature racing thermostat will open at a lower temperature (160 degree Fahrenheit) compared to standard thermostats (186 degree Fahrenheit). This allows coolant to flow through the engine sooner, thus reducing and maintaining cooler engine temperatures. This is an ideal upgrade whether you drive your fourth-generation Camaro daily or take your GTO to the strip on the weekends..

This Thermostat does NOT fit a 2002 Corvette C5!!Paid $93,- last year 2023 and now I want to install it while overhauling my engine and it does not fit.The diameter is too small and the little pin near the rubber ring cannot work.Bad manufacturing......?I'll try to get my money back.........

After I installed the thermostat; my car runs at 185 degrees instead of 210 degrees; thermostat works fine so far. I had it for 1 month.
