Don't cheap out and try using a 1/4 inch socket from your tool kit; it won't end well.This tool fits perfectly with excellent grip and torque on the truss rod nut.Just go slow and easy as she goes; never force it ans perhaps watch a few videos!The package may have been opened (used and returned). Even so, I don't care.For the price of a small pizza, having a quality tool like this around is always a good thing.

I lost the original wrench for my Carvin LB75 bass. It took a while to find a replacement that would work properly. It’s a 1999 or 2000 bass. The truss rod is a 1/4” nut, but the wrench shape and outer diameter also matter. I bought a 1/4” nut driver but the outer diameter was too big to get at the truss rod end without risking stripping it. This wrench works perfectly. I didn’t mind paying a couple bucks more for the magnetic tip and blue pencil grip holder. Those things aren’t really needed. The original Carvin wrench didn’t have a grip, but for a couple bucks it makes it stand out in my tool drawer so it will be easier to find the next time I need it. This is a good quality tool and makes the truss rod adjustment very easy.

This truss rod wrench/Philips screw driver fits my Taylor T5 truss rod nut perfectly. The molded plastic grip is convenient as it allows for a more sensitive pressure while adjusting tension. Having the Philips driver on the end let’s me remove TR cover screws all in one tool. Love it!

Ho provato la chiave da 6mm ed era troppo piccola , ho provato quella da 7mm ed era troppo grande. Cosi ho capito che occorre quella da 1/4 di pollice che non segue le dimensioni metriche.Con un giro e mezzo l'altezza delle corde della mia taylor 114e si è ridotta senza nessun ronzio ! Si suona che una meraviglia !
