Unfortunately this tool does not fit on BMW X5 e70 ball joint or similar suspension mechanisms.I am keeping the tool as it’s great quality built and good price. I am sure it will be useful on different applications but not BMWs…

It was too small for my truck but decided to keep it anyway, the quality is good and I’ll probably need it for another project…

Es una herramienta robusta y de buena calidad, solo un detalle:se le cayó la posta al perno que sujeta el centro de la herramienta

First I had a lower ball joint in the front driver side on a 2014 Subaru Forester, north owned car, that was stuck. I used a pickle fork but didn’t have a sledgehammer to drive it so that could have been my problem to begin with. I bought this to solve that problem. I didn’t look at the instructions as the device is pretty self explanatory. There are two holes on the main body that help control distance for bolt travel. If in your car the wedge doesn’t fit try the other hole. I immediately went with the longer travel. I slid the main body into the folk position, tapped lightly to be sure it was in place, then started turning the bolt. Crack the ball joint bolt was free at last. The noise was a little disturbing but when it came out I was all smiles. The other side didn’t need this bad boy. I only used the pickle fork and crack it was free.Honest opinion, this thing is worth not banging on bolts and getting frustrated. But I am not a fan of single purpose tools. Would I get this again if needed. Probably yes. I think the pickle fork is the better option but if that doesn’t do it, get this item to save you from a jam.

The product arrived and seemed robust/well built at first however under use there are two major issues with it. 1) The lag bolt that that they provide with the unit is too soft of an alloy. It actually crushes/mushrooms at the point end against the pivot arms. The arms are plenty strong, just the bolt cannot absorb enough force before crushing. 2) The U fork of the unit is actually too thick and with my car (Mercedes B200) it was just too large to fit easily. It was a struggle and near impossible to get it into place to the point where it can be unsafe if not seated correctly. I ended up using a pickle fork to get the joint separated. I think with many vehicles (especially small cars) will have the same fitment issue. If the manufacturer can address these two key issues it would make the unit very viable.
